| A real innovation, this helmet differs totally from the formes: no more inner helmet, laryngophone, an included radio equipment, oxygen mask fixed by . It followed the Gueneau 312 in the Air Force and the Gueneau 313M1 in the Navy in the 70's. It has a double visor (tinted or transparent) actionned by a visible levers on each side of helmet. It design will be familiar of the Air force for more than 20 years. There are several versions some of which are exported (Ireland, Germany ,South Africa ...). for instance, the model used by the German Air Force has a chin strap which the french model has not. The Gueneau type 317 version was created for helicopter pilot. The oxygen mask is an Ulmer type 82J. The Gueneau 458, inspired by the former replaced it in the Air Force. | ||||||
