THE LIFE JACKET G.P. 90

The EROS VHA9O Series high accelerations/high altitude protective ensemble  in association with the EROS type 439 oxygen and anti-g regulation systems or equivalent, provides crew protection in high performance combat aircraft with exceptional comfort both in normal flying conditions (pressurised cabin) and in an emergency.
  • This ensemble was developed by the following companies:
EROS/INTERTECHNIQUE (as Main Contractor),
AERAZUR, L'OPTIQUE SCIENTIFIQUE.

It consists of the following components:
• High pressure oxygen mask type MP9O.
• Partial pressure helmet type CP9O.
• Counterpressure vest, type GP9O with integral life jacket (optional).

The VHA9O ensemble is used with a standard anti-g suit which provides pressurisation for the lower part of the body.
The standard crew flight suit may be replaced by an anti-immersion suit.
The VHA9O ensemble has been designed to protect the crew against possible cabin depressurisation up to an aircraft altitude of 65,000 feet, providing a rapid descent to a safe altitude.
With the type 439 regulation system, high altitude protection is compatible with the use of diluted oxygen at low altitude.
An improved protection against high acceleration is ensured by the delivery of pressure breathing as a function of g-load.
Mask with four attachment points, which can be customised and fitted with a combined inhalation/exhalation valve operatmg up to 15 g.
Helmet available in three sizes (with three sets of linings per size) and equipped with two hinged visors.
Counterpressure vest available in three sizes for ctistomisation.

Advantages:
• A single crew personal equipment for high and low altitude missions.
• Light weight. Low thermal stress.
• Considerable head mobility.
• Donmng and doffing by the pilot unaided.
